Sushant Singh Rajput passes away at 34, no suicide note recovered from Mumbai residence

Sushant was 34 years old and was much loved for his performances on the small screen as well as in movies.

Sushant Singh Rajput (21 January 1986 – 14 June 2020) was an Indian Bollywood actor, dancer, television personality,entrepreneur and philanthropist. Rajput started his career with television serials. His debut show was Star plus romantic drama Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil (2008), followed by an award-winning performance in Zee TV’s popular soap opera Pavitra Rishta (2009–11)
  • Rajput made his film debut in the buddy dramaKai Po che!(2013), for which he received a nomination for the Filmfare Award For Best Male Debut. He then starred in the romantic comedy Shuddh Desi Romance (2013). His highest-grossing releases came with a supporting role in the satire PK (2014), followed by the nominal role in the sports biopic M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016). For his performance in the latter, he received his first nomination for the Filmfare Award For Best Male. Rajput went on to star in the commercially successful films Kedarnath (2018) and  Chhichhore (2019).
  • Bollywood lost yet another actor as Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide at his residence in Mumbai. While the industry is still reeling with the passing away of Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor, Bollywood has to now deal with yet another loss.
  • Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide at his Bandra residence by hanging himself on Sunday, Additional Commissioner of Police Dr Manoj Sharma confirmed. “Sushant Singh Rajput has committed suicide, Mumbai Police is investigating.
  •  Police has not found any note yet,” said DCP Pranay Ashok, spokesperson Mumbai Police.
  • In an official statement, Sushant Singh Rajput’s team had shared, “It pains us to share that Sushant Singh Rajput is no longer with us. We request his fans to keep him in their thoughts and celebrate his life, and his work like they have done so far. We request media to help us maintain privacy at this moment of grief.”
